Fun at the Zoo

Last week we took a fun little morning trip to the zoo with some friends from church. It was ridiculously hot, but the kids didn't mind one bit! I loved watching them play together and "explore" the zoo (with their little zoo maps in hand)......so cute!!

Mason's 4th Birthday/ Father's Day

Ok- so let's just say June 21st was quite an exciting day.......First of all, our little man turned 4 years old and it was also Father's Day! (Not to mention, we were still exhausted from Brittany's wedding the night before!) Our day started off with a special Father's Day breakfast for Brian, who just happens to be the best Dad in the whole wide world! The kids each gave him a framed "Daddy's Little Gamecock" hand print, which he totally loved! After that, we switched over to birthday mode. Kay-Kay and Rodney stopped by to give Mason his gift.....a computer cool school......which was "just what he's always wanted!" After that, we headed up to the lake for the next couple of days. We had decided not to have Mason a big birthday party this year, since our month was just too busy to fit one in. Instead, we planned him a little Cars-themed family party (at the lake) with a really big surprise......he got to camp out in a tent with Aunt Nikki and Uncle Stanley!! He thought that was the coolest thing ever! I was so mad at myself when I got home and realized that I'd forgotten to take some pictures of him sleeping in the tent.......Oh, well! Happy 4th Birthday Mason!! We love you!!!!

Brittany and John's Wedding

My cousin Brittany got married last Saturday and the wedding was just beautiful! (Not to mention, she was a gorgeous bride!!!) We had such a fun time at the reception...........the kids LOVED getting out there on the dance floor. Mason was so hilarious doing the chicken dance and Allie was out there shakin' it, too! The first picture below is Brittany's first dance with her new hubby, John. The second picture is Brittany dancing with her daddy.........there wasn't a dry eye in the room during that one! Congratulations Brittany and John!!!!

Isle of Palms

A couple of weekends ago, we took a little day trip to the Isle of Palms to let the kids play on the beach. They both loved every second of it and we've already promised to take them back soon!

Pond Party

On Sunday, our young adults group went out to the Lown Pond for our yearly Pond Party. It's always a lot of fun for everyone...........they have swimming areas, a paddle boat, trampoline, volleyball court and play areas for the kids. The weather was really nice........we had lots of sun, a little bit of rain, and we even got to see a rainbow! Allie was too cute strutting around in her little bikini. (Notice her pink bracelet that she insisted on wearing!) Mason loved swimming and jumping on the trampoline in the rain. He also liked fishing with daddy and Mr. Dave (Caroline's dad), who helped him catch his first fish! What a fun afternoon!
