Backyard Surprise

Yesterday, Brian discovered a turtle crawling through our backyard and took Mason outside to check it out.......... as soon as he saw it, he said "Hey! It's just like Franklin!" (I thought that was really cute!) After Mason touched it's shell and watched it for a while, Brian took it out to "live" in our garden........I guess we'll have to see if "Franklin" sticks around. I know a little boy who certainly hopes so!!

Beach Day

Mason's class had "Beach Day" today at preschool. They got to go outside on the playground and play in the sprinkler and have popsicles. Thank goodness for the nice weather because they all had such a fun time!

Mommy turns 29!

My 29th birthday was last week and I was SO excited to get a laptop (with adobe photoshop on it!!) from Brian and the kids. We ate supper with my family at San Jose and afterwards,we came back home for some sinfully delicious chocolate cake. What a happy birthday!!

Monkey Joe's

Brian and I took the kids to Monkey Joe's on Sunday, while our real-estate agent was showing our house. I've taken the kids twice before and they always have so much fun! I like it because it's really clean, they have tons of inflatables for the kids to play on and they have comfy seating for parents.......that is, if you're lucky enough to sit down! They even have a toddler zone for Allie to play in, with little inflatables and slides. Allie has so much fun climbing up the steps (all three of them!) and hurling herself down the mini slide........it is so cute! Mason's favorites are the obstacle course and the big slides.......he goes down them over and over! Another great thing about Monkey Joe's is that your kids are able to run off lots of energy and if you're really lucky......they fall asleep on the way home!! :)

Graduation Party "Boo Boo"

On Saturday afternoon, Mason fell in our driveway and scraped both of his knees. This seems to happen pretty much every weekend, and he knows the drill: get lots of attention, get a cool band-aid and a lot more attention! That night at (my cousin) Brittany's graduation party, Mason had to be sure that all eyes were on his "boo boo" as soon as he walked in the door. He made sure to pull up his shorts just enough, so that you could see his band-aid.........and trust me, he was layin' it on thick! At the end of the night, we got some funny pictures of Mason and Brittany showing their "boo boos"............as an added bonus, Mason actually cooperated long enough for me to take some more cute pictures of him......Yay!!

Cowboy Mason

Mason gets to pretend to be something different every week in his Friday Friends class at preschool. This Friday, he just happened to be the cutest cowboy in the west.....

First Field Trip

Mason got to take his first-ever field trip on Thursday! His preschool class walked to the Lexington County Museum to learn about games and toys that children played with "a long time ago." The kids were all so excited and they loved playing with the old toys. There was also a photographer there from The State Newspaper and he told us that Mason's class will be featured in a story about the museum, which should run this Saturday (May 2nd). Enjoy the pictures......his class is too cute!

Disney on Ice

We took the kids to see Disney on Ice last night and they absolutely loved it! The show was called "Worlds of Fantasy" and it included Cars, The Little Mermaid, The Lion King, Tinkerbell and Mickey and Minnie, too! Once the show started, Mason and Allie couldn't take their eyes off of it and I have to admit, I loved it just as much as they did!
